Ford Vietnam to begin a new year with record sales

Ford Vietnam began its 2015 with the best January sales in its history reaching 1.523 units (60% up compared to 2014). EcoSport and Ranger all saw stead growth. Ford also opened 2 new dealers in the South in January.

Ford Vietnam maintained its momentum from 2014 with the highest January sales ever in 2015, with a total of 1.523 units sold, 60% up compared to the same period last year.

Ford Ranger and Ford Transit continued to lead the pickup and commercial vehicle segment respectively, while EcoSport saw its best monthly sales since its introduction in the middle of 2014.

The mini urban SUV EcoSport saw its best monthly sales since its introduction in the middle of 2014 with 385 units sold. The popularity of the model has created an entirely new segment in Vietnam.

Sales of Ranger – the most popular pickup in Vietnam in 2014, helped retain the leading position of the model in its segment in January, achieving a 76% growth equivalent to 480 units.

Ford Transit – the most popular commercial vehicle in Vietnam in 2014, also led its segment in January with a 54% growth in sales, reaching 369 units.

The family SUV Everest also contributed remarkably to Ford’s sales in January with 166 units sold.

Ford’s passenger cars were also a factor in the brand’s success in January. 54 Ford Focus were delivered to customers, thanks to its advanced technologies. The mini sport Fiesta also received remarkable favor with 59 units sold, thanks to its 1.6L-equaled 1.0L engine that resulted in a perfect combination between fuel efficiency and emission reduction.

Ford also opened its dealer network in Vietnam with the opening of 2 new dealers in HCM city – Binh Duong Ford and Saigon Ford Pho Quang, thus increasing the total number of its dealers and agents in the country to 27.
