Polk: Focus was the best-selling car in 2013

Ford Focus continued to consolidate its position as the world best-selling car as demonstrated on data analysis from Polk.

Data from 2013 January to September emphasized strong global demand on Ford Focus with 856.587 new registration, 16.1% up compared to the same period in 2012.

The success of Ford Focus was mainly due to its breakthrough in China. In this market, 303.481 Ford Focus units have been consumed (around 35% of Focus total sales in the period), resulting in an 85% growth compared to 2012.

Thanks to their strong global growth plan, Ford has manufactured 2 of the 5 best-selling car in the world: Focus and Fiesta, with a total of 1.402.555 units registered in this period.

In Vietnam market, Focus sales in 2013 have increased by 37% compared to 2012 with 1.209 units consumed while Fiesta retail sales reached 847 units.
