Ford Vietnam to gift engines and gearboxes to automotive students

Representative of Ford Vietnam has visited and awarded engines and gearboxes to the Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Hung Yen University of Technical Education to promote the training of students in automotive faculties in Vietnam. Estimated total value of the two components is 500 million VND.

Mr. Trinh Van Ngan, Director of the Ford Hai Duong plant and Mr. Tran Tien Duc, Director of Engineering, has gifted 2 engines and 6 gearboxes worth 500 million VND to the Schools of Mechanical Engineering of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Hung Yen University of Technical Education. By providing students with a chance to have access to modern technology, Ford hopes to support them on their path of learning and researching, thus contributing to the development of high-quality human resources in Vietnam.

It was not the first time that Ford donated engines and gearboxes to universities for students to have opportunities to study and learn more about the operation mechanism of advanced equipments currently used in Ford plants around the world. Ford has regularly welcomed student union to visit its factory for a long time.

“With the commitment to “Moving forward further” with Vietnam, we hope that the equipments will be stepping stones for students to have access to advanced technologies, thus improving their practical skills and help them to get ready for the future”.

In addition, Ford Vietnam will continue to maintain a series of activities to comprehensively develop the society, such as the “Global Week of Caring” to help bring a better life and environment to people or the “Planning for a better world” fund that renovates poor schools so that students can study and live better.
