On the afternoon of March 4th, the above decision was announced at the press conference on situation and result of traffic safety in February and March mission deployment of Hanoi Traffic Police Department.
Colonel Dao Vinh Thang, Head of Hanoi Road – Rail Traffic Police Department stated that traffic police teams will be deployed on routes and areas to control the traffic and handle law violators, especially bus, taxi and motorbike drivers in rush hours in 1 month (from March 6th to April 6th).
Accordingly, traffic police teams working in the capital will continue to check and deal with improperly parked vehicles widely, especially at bus stations, railway stations, hospital gates; overweight vehicles or vehicles spilling building materials.

Additionally, the Traffic Police Department will also focus on dealing with motorcyclists that: not wearing helmet, crossing red light, going in roads that not allowed motorcycle, going in opposing direction, driving with blood alcohol concentration exceeding allowed level, driving with speed exceeding speed limit on highways or in residential areas..
Colonel Dao Vinh Thang also acknowledged that “Pupils and students that are under-age, do not have driver’s license, do not wear helmet or carried too much people will be dealt with severely”.
