HTC to release Sonata 2.0L at 1.06 billion VND

The 7^th gen of Sonata has been introduced to the Vietnam automobile market by Huyndai Thanh Cong. The car is favored with its spacious interior and high-end technologies. However, only 1 version of the Sonata 2015 will be available: the petrol 2.0L engine version.

The car is designed with Huyndai’s i-Flow 2.0 concept in mind. As a result, it has a completely new appearance with a more spacious interior. The L x W x H of the car is 4.855 x 1.865 x 1.475 mm with a wheelbase of 2.805 mm – 35mm longer and 30mm wider compared to previous versions.

As for its front end, Huyndai has set up a more modern looking for it with square grille, auto-adjust HID bi-xenon headlights integrated with LED daylight. Other noteworthy features included LED taillights, 18-inch alloy rims and 235/45 R18 tire.

As for its interior, Sonata 2015 featured many modern driver assistance equipments compared to other models in the same segment. The MDPS driving assistance allowed the creation of different driving experience with the custom steering wheel weight-adjustment. Panorama sunroof, leather equipment, electric height-adjustment seats for convenience… all was equipped in this car. The rear seats were equipped with separate curtains and windows. In particular, the storage trunk was integrated with the clever key identification function capable of opening within 3 seconds. Infortainment equipment included modern multimedia system, USB, Bluetooth and AUX connection…

 

Only the 2.0MPI petrol engine version of Sonata is available in Vietnam, which provides a maximum power of 154HP at 6.200rpm and a maximum torque of 196Nm at 4.000rpm, couples with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Huyndai Thanh Cong stated that limited options were because of low demand and it could be changed in the future if need arises.

In term of safety features, the new Sonata is equipped with many modern ones, such as a 6 airbag system and the corner headlights that cover blind spot during cornering.

Sonata 2015 has only 1 version with 2.0L engine 6-speed automatic transmission

The model is CBU imported from Korea and will be sold at 1.060 billion VND. Sonata is now available at every Huyndai Thanh Cong’s authorized dealers across the country with 5 colors: White, Silver, Blue, Brown and Black. During the launch event, Huyndai Thanh Cong will give out 1 year of material insurance for Sonata customers (from now to October 31^st, 2014). Huyndai Thanh Cong expects a sale of 50-70 units/month from Sonata.

Since its first appearance in 1985, 7 million Sonata units have been sold around the world. The totally new 7^th gen has received the title of “Top Safety Pick+” – the highest honor of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in safety tests.
