This morning (August 27th), the Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2014 has officially opened in Hanoi.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Do Thang Hai – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Nguyen Van Suu – Vice Chairman of the Hanoi’s People Committee, Mr. Ho Nghia Dung – former Minister of Transport and many other officials.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mr. Duangdej YuaiKwamdee – Deputy Managing Director of Reed Tradex in Vietnam stated that Vietnam’s support industry became increasingly important and was an undispensable part in the country’s economic structure.
Therefore, the Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2014 is organized with the purpose of connecting businesses together and create opportunities for them to learn new technologies to increase productivity, collect new knowledge and ideas in the field of business, thus be able to produce high-quality products in the global value chain.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Do Thang Hai – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade expressed his confidence that this Expo will be a great opportunity for businesses that produce supporting industrial devices/components in Hanoi in particular and in Vietnam in general to gain access to importers and assemblers from Japan, South Korea, ASEAN and other countries.

The Expo this year is participated by over 200 brands of machinery and technology from over 20 countries.

As noted by Autonet reporter, the first day of the Expo attracted quite a number of visitors, resulting in a crowded and bustling atmosphere. The Expo will take place from August 27th to August 29th 2014 at the Vietnam – USSR Cultural Palace.
