Mercedes-Benz Vietnam updates new gearbox for S 500 L

Starting from May 2016, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV) will update the transmission system for S 500 L. Specifically, the 9G-TRONIC 9-speed AT will provide the most comfortable and smooth experience to users so far.

Accordingly, the 9G-TRONIC AT mentioned above will become standard on S 500 L starting from May. With 9 different speed, the loss of traction between each speed will become largely irrelevant. Moreover, a reduction in fuel consumption(~ 6,5%) will also be a nice benefit while powerful and yet smooth performance is guaranteed. Additionally, the paddle shift provides a much more sportier experience to drivers themselves.

Meanwhile, the interior of S 500 L is still a dream for any driver and passenger. The business seats have a maximum incline degree at 43,50^o and feature leg support. Moreover, you can push the front seat to the front and remove the headrest to create a bed (which is more than spacious and comfortable I might add). 6 modes of massaging, AIR-BALANCE system with air-filtering equipments, oxygen ionizing and smart fragrance devices are all available.

Currently, all the S-Class versions are equipped with COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS (CPA Plus). The CPA PLUS evaluates the traffic information from the radar sensor system installed in the vehicle. If the distance to the vehicle ahead falls below a safe distance for several seconds, the system will issue a warning symbol in the instrument cluster & an intermittent tone sound. In the case of critical braking situations, Adaptive Brake Assist helps the driver with the best possible brake pressure.

The S-Class assures the absolute safety for its owner by providing seatbelt airbags for 2-side seats at back, in order to minimize injuries in the event of accidents. In front, the Head-up Display and the Night View Assist Pluswill assist the driver with safer drive.

With all above superior features, the Mercedes-Benz S 500 L is the most valuable large-size luxury saloon, pricing at 5.049 billion VND (VAT included). This price is will significantly increase after July 1st, 2016.

The S 500 L with the 9G-TRONIC transmission will be officially introduced at the Mercedes-Benz Fascination 2016 in Hanoi. Under the theme “SUVenture”, the exhibition will take place from 15 -19 June at Vietnam National Convention Center, Thang Long Boulevard, Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi and expected to welcome approximately 15,000 visitors at the capital. This is the first time that MBV shows its full premium SUV line-up to Vietnam customers.
