According to statistics from the Vietnam Customs, in the first 10 months of 2014 51.600 CBU cars have been imported into the country with a value of US$ 1.14 billion, 78.6% up in quantity and 96.4% up in value compared to the same period in 2013.
The number of vehicles with less than 9 seats imported into Vietnam reached 22.800 units, 70.2% up while 20.500 trucks and 7.500 cars of other types reached Vietnam in the same period, up 55.8% and 306% respectively.
CBU car import in October remained high with 7.580 units imported, 11.6% up compared to September and valued at US$ 172 million, 7.3% up.

In particular, truck saw the most impressive growth of 20.8% (2.900 units) while cars with under 9 seats had the highest number at 3.300 units, 9.2% up.
South Korea continued to be the main market that provided CBU car for Vietnam with 12.930 units (up 5%), followed by Thailand with 10.710 units (up 63.7%), China with 9.650 units (up 205%), India with 8.580 units (975 more compared to the same period in 2013)…
