Details of Mercedes-AMG GT S in Vietnam

Being one of the “fantastic four” that MBV released on January 28^th, 2015, the Mercedes-AMG GT S has stolen spotlight at the premiere. The striking yellow car has a powerful engine roar. GT S is put at 8 billion VND.

This is the 2^nd model developed independently by Mercedes-AMG. This powerful car was first introduced at the Frankfurt Auto Show 2014 and not long after that was brought into Vietnam by MBV.

Mercedes-AMG GT S demonstrate the “Sensual Purity” theme perfectly with a class design ratio: long front, muscular bonnet, cockpit pushed all the way back and fastback rear end.

At the premiere, the yellow model appeared impressively through a black curtain, with its engine roar amazed the attendants. Its length x width x height is 4.546 x 1.939 x 1.288mm respectively and its wheelbase is 2.630mm. For a lighter weight, Mercedes-Benz’s engineers used lightweight aluminum alloy as the body’s material, thus lowering GT S’ weight to 1.645kg.

Its front bumper is designed similar to a sport car with large wind cavity and center grille and logo. GT S front wheels and rear wheels are 19-inch and 20-inch black multi-spoke AMG sport wheels respectively.

GT S’ interior is fully immersed in black premium leather. The seats are inspired by racecar with contrast stitching. Sport 3-spoke steering wheel, the driving mode controller AMG Drive Unit on the center dash and chrome-plated details are the highlights of the cockpit.

GT S’ heart is its 4.0L V8 engine, which is manufactured under the philosophy of “each engineer an engine”. The engine is handcrafted by drivers and is capable of producing 510HP and 650Nm at 1.750-4.750rpm. Accompanied by the 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT automatic transmission, GT S’ engine is capable of accelerating the car from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 310km/h.

Mercedes-AMG GT S is put at 8 billion VND. Despite just being imported to Vietnam, GT S has already been pre-ordered by many customers.
