[VMS] The new Honda Civic: Gentle changes

One of the 2 new models that Honda Vietnam introduces to visitors at VMS 2014 is Civic with minor design changes and the addition of many useful and advanced features.

Basically, Civic’s exterior does not change as much as the new CR-V that is also displayed at this VMS. Honda mainly focuses on changing Civic’s sporty style with a completely new front grille (from 3-spoke style to honeycomb style with black paint, added by an U-shaped chrome bar) that follows the design philosophy “Exciting H Design” closely, similar to the new Accord.

The wind cavity below also creates a highlight for the front end with the addition of a decorative chrome braces. The taillight cluster, however, does not receive any changes (exactly the same as old generations) and is totally different from the new Civic in other markets.

In term of interior, Civic receives a slight change at the center console with audio system adjusted through high-end 7-inch touch screen, Sygic GPS (for iPhone 5 or above with HDMI/Bluetooth connection), 3-angle reverse camera that displays information on the smart multi-information screen I-MID.  However, those equipments are only available on the 2.0L model.

Other utility features include hand-free call, ECON driving mode together with safety features such as ABS, VSA and EBD that make driver more confident and comfortable.

The new Civic does not receive any change in the engine. After being display at VMS 2014, the model will be exhibited officially at Honda dealers across the country from November 26^th, 2014.

Retail prices for the 1.8AT version and the 2.0AT version are set at 780 million VND and 869 million VND respectively with 4 color options. The new Civic’s warranty will be 3-year or 100.000km whichever comes first.
