A signing ceremony on traffic safety promotion was organized in HCM city on February 7th, involving the National Traffic Safety Committee, the otosaigon forum and the H.O.G club (Harley-Davidson owners in Vietnam).
The ceremony aims to encourage otosaigon’s members to participate in raising the awareness of people on traffic safety and also to issue the plan for a Traffic Safety day. Also at the ceremony, representative of the program’s participants has awarded memorial medals to otosaigon’s branches that were involved with the expanding of the slogan “Do not drink and drive”.
Attendants of the ceremony included Dr. Khuat Viet Hung – Deputy Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee; representatives of the People’s Committee, Department of Transport and relevant agencies and departments of HCM city; representatives of agencies who have contributed to traffic safety in Vietnam; representatives of the Vietnam Transport Association, the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation; journalists representing Central media agencies and media agencies in HCM city.
Implementing policies of the government and the National Traffic Safety Committee on raising traffic safety awareness and creating a traffic safety culture, there have been a lot of activities organized by individuals and agencies recently whose initial positive effects could be seen.
The program aims to raise traffic safety awareness of bike enthusiasts and who are responsible and follow traffic rules. With otosaigon’s members, who have massive knowledge of traffic culture and reside across the country, the forum will be the place to provide information relating to traffic rule violations or shortcomings in transportation organizing for the authorities to have proper solutions.
