According to Thaco’s reports that are sent to the State Securities Commission of Vietnam, Thaco’s revenue in the first half of 2015 reached 18.800 billion VND which transitioned into 3.203 billion of after-tax profit.
Specifically, in the first 6 months of the year, Thaco’s total revenue reached 18.800 billion VND, 88% higher year-on-year. Its after-tax profit thus is increased to 3.203 billion VND, while 5.744 billion VND is contributed to the State budget. Thaco’s profit in 2015 first half has already equaled to 86% of that of all 2014 which reached 6.705 billion VND.
The company’s vehicle sales in 2015 first half was also nearly equal to that of all 2014. The company has increased its margin in almost every states in its production – distribution – retail value compared to 2014. Specifically, localization and lower cost helped increase margins by 3 – 10%. Logistic cost was also down 2% while distribution cost down 0,5% resulted in 1,5 – 3% profit growth. Retail sales also nearly doubled and increased number of showroom also helped increase margin by 1 – 3%.
Thaco was able to sell 34.593 vehicles in total int he period, 93% higher year-on-year, among which 8.456 were Kia’s, 8.175 were Mazda’s, 227 were Peugeot’s along with 16.964 trucks and 771 buses. Kia Morning, Kia K3, Mazda CX-5 and Mazda3 continued to be included in the top 10 best-selling passenger cars in Vietnam.
These figures do speak and they show good signs that Thaco will dominate the market and score record revenue in 2015.
