Hanoi: Redirect traffic in the area of the new Parliament House

To ensure security, order and traffic safety for the 8^th session of the XIII National Assembly meeting (from 1p.m of October 19^th to November 29^th, 2014), the Police Department in coordination with Hanoi’s Road and Rail Police will temporarily ban certain types of vehicle on some routes.

Accordingly, from 6a.m to 7p.m from October 20^th to 29^th, all vehicles will be banned on Hoang Van Thu, Doc Lap, Bac Son, Hung Vuong (on the section from Hoang Van Thu to Phan Dinh Phung), Phan Dinh Phung (from Hung Vuong to Nguyen Tri Phuong), Hoang Dieu (from Phan Dinh Phung to Dien Bien Phu), Dien Bien Phu (from Hoang Dieu to Doc Lap), Le Hong Phong, Chu Van An (from Tran Phu to Dien Bien Phu), with the exception being vehicles serving the meeting.

 

 

Vehicles will be banned on Doc Lap and Bac Son street for the protection of the meeting

In particular, even vehicles serving the meeting will be banned on Doc Lap and Bac Son street. During the period of time above, traffic redirection will also be carried out on multiple streets.

Specifically, vehicles travel from the North to the South of the city will have to take the route Yen Phu – Cua Bac – Nguyen Tri Phuong – Dien Bien – Hoang Dieu while vehicles travel in the opposite direction will have to take the Ton Duc Thang – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Hoang Dieu – Dien Bien – Cua Bac – Yen Phu route.

Similarly, vehicles travel from the West to the East of the city will have to take the route Hoang Hoa Tham – Hung Vuong – Thanh Nien – Yen Phu or Hoang Hoa Tham – Ngoc Ha – Doi Can or Le Hong Phong – Ong Ich Khiem – Tran Phu – Le Truc while vehicles travel in the opposite direction will have to take the Dien Bien – Tran Phu – Le Truc or Dien Bien – Tran Phu – Nguyen Tri Phuong – Cua Bac – Yen Phu route.

In addition, according to information from the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, a random motorcycle registration program on computer will also be deployed for vehicle owners who have mail address in Hanoi from October 25^th.
