A closer look at the luxury SUV Volkswagen Touareg 2015

The luxurious Volkswagen Touareg 2015 is officially available at the brand’s showroom in Vietnam. The new SUV sees some significant changes in both interior/exterior, technologies and engine.

Volkswagen Touareg is in the same segment with fellow German models such as Mercedes-Benz M-Class, Porsche Cayenne or BMW X5. In term of exterior, Touareg 2015 features a modern, powerful yet luxurious style thanks to its chrome-plated front grille and bumper and Bi-Xenon headlights integrated with daytime running light.

The SUV’s length x width x height is 4.801 x 2.208 x 1.709 mm respectively. The body’s sides are decorated with metal trims. The exterior also features stainless steel dual exhaust, 20-inch Masafi wheels, electric rearview mirrors integrated with turn indicator, and electric trunk lid.

Meanwhile, Touareg 2015’s interior is airy and spacious, using a black theme and wood trims for extra luxuriousness. All seats are premium leather-covered with front seats are electrically adjustable and driver’s seat able to “remember” driver’s preferred position. Dual zone air conditioning system is available for rear seat passengers, with rear seats being able to folded down to increase luggage compartment’s volume. Leather 3-spoke steering wheel is integrated with many multifunction buttons for driver convenience.

Volkswagen Touareg employs a 3.597cc FSI V6 engine capable of producing 280Hp at 6.200rpm and 360Nm at 3.200rpm, accompanied by 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, Sport driving mode, AWD and Onroad/Offroad technologies which can be adjusted through a knob. Touareg 2015 can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5,5 seconds and has a max speed of 228km/h. Its fuel consumption is 9,9L/100km with a 85L fuel tank capacity.
