BMW i8 coated in new color in HCM city

Just a few days after being spotted in blue paint, the BMW i8 in HCM city is again spotted today but with another distinctive appearance featuring a new yellow theme – a totally new and different selection compared to other i8s in Vietnam.

BMW i8 officially left its production lines for global debut just recently and has since then received very positive feedbacks. Thus, it was able to attract a certain fanbase in Vietnam and as a result, a lot of those BMW hybrid model were imported into the S-shaped country. To stand out among other owners as well as other i8s, an owner in HCM city decided to feature his i8 in a distinctive color: yellow.

However, to not ruin the original blue paint of his ride, decals were used which not only met the owner’s wish but also protect the hybrid from potential scratches – a popular occurrence in such crowded city like HCM city.

Despite a sporty, less-roomy look, BMW i8 can provide sufficient space for 4 people: 2 adults on the front and 2 childs on the back. I8 is designed based on the Vision Efficient Dynamics concept introduced back then in Frankfurt Motor Show 2009. The hybrid makes use of 1.5L 3-cylinder engine and an electric motor with total capacity capped at 362 Hp and 570 Nm. Its 6-speed automatic transmission can boost the BMW car to 250km/h at max.
