BMW F800R to make its debut in Vietnam

Only half a year after making its first public debut internationally at the EICMA 2014 (Milan, Ttalia), the BMW F800R 2015 has officially got a place in Euro Auto BMW Hanoi’s showroom. The new version has received quite a lot of improvements that aim to take it to a whole new level.

The change that makes the largest impact on BMW F800R’s appearance is the new single-format headlight often found on Japan’s nakedbikes, instead of the old, agressive double headlights. Its body panels and the cooling section are also tweaked a little bit while the rear end sees no improvement.

To provide a better, more comfortable driving posture for drivers especially Asian drivers, BMW F800R’s seat height is lowered to 790mm (10mm lower) while the handlebar and footrest receive a new design.

The model’s suspension system is also improved in order to give drivers the best driving experience under BMW Motorrad’s “360^o Safety” standards.

The ABS is one of F800R’s standard features while ASC and ESA are optional.

The BMW F800R 2015 uses a 798cc liquid-cooled 2-cylinder engine capable of producing 90HP (67kW) at 8.000rpm and 86Nm at 5.800rpm – 3HP (2.3kW) higher than the 2014 version.Thanks to shorter ratio of Gear 1 and 2, F800R’s acceleration and pulling power remain very impressive while its fuel efficiency is still guaranteed. The motorbike operates optimally with RON 95 or fuel with higher octane level.

Customers can also select the optional stainless steel Akrapovich exhaust pipe which is 1.7kg lighter than the standard one. F800R is currently on display at the BMW Motorrad showroom at 1 Ngo Gia Tu, Long Bien, Hanoi.
