Audi to recall 181 units in Vietnam

Audi has officially announced the recall of 181 Audi A4 in Vietnam for airbag control software update.

This recall revolves around the improper operation of softwares designed to control airbag on A4 model produced between 2011 November and 2014 October. This recall has absolutely no connection with recalls relating to faulty Takata airbag.

According to Audi’s official distributor in Vietnam, it was Audi who detected this problem when reviewing its products and not a single record of injury due to this problem was mentioned in a total of 850.000 Audi cars.

The checking and software update for airbag controller will take less than 30 minutes with all cost covered by Audi Vietnam. Customers currently using Audi A4 in Vietnam can contact the brand’s dealers in Vietnam for the most accurate information.

Audi Vietnam has reported the recall to the Vietnam Registration (Ministry of Transport) and is contacting with each customer to arrange the software update.
