Gasoline and petrol prices to rise again at 12 a.m 03/19

The Vietnam National Petroleum Group Petrolimex has just adjusted gasoline prices at 12 a.m (March 19^th) with an increase of 180 VND/liter, bringing Ron92 price to 24.690 VND/liter and Ron95 to 25.190 VND/liter.

In addition the increase in gasoline prices, diesel price was also raised by 70 VND per liter and DO 0.05S saw its price increased to 22.840 VND/liter. Kerosene oil price remained the same and mazout oil price dropped by 120 VND/kg. Also in today, the Ministry of Finance has issued the document 3458/BTC-QLGb in gasoline and oil businesses, as well as the usage of Stabilization fund applied from 12 a.m of March 19^th, 2014.

Gasoline prices to be up 180 VND/liter

As stated by Petrolimex’s leaders, the adjustment was made based on gasoline price fluctuation on the world market in the pricing cycle, in accordance with the principle of determining the selling price of gasoline and oil.

2 weeks ago on March the 3^rd, the Ministry of Finance has requested oil companies to maintain their retail prices despite their loss of 500 VND/liter. At that time, the Ministry of Finance acknowledged that gasoline saw the heaviest loss at 519 VND/liter, followed by diesel with 173 VND/liter and kerosene oil with 336 VND/liter. Only mazout oil saw a profitable price, with a profit of 33 VND/kg.

Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have been increased twice with the most recently being on February 21^st with an increase of 300 VND/liter.
