On the 20th of November, Isuzu Vietnam has organized a ceremony to celebrate its 20th year of operation in Vietnam.
Attended the ceremony were the leaders of Isuzu Japan and also the leaders of its partner. Mr. Masanori Katayama, President and General Director of Isuzu Group, was also there.
Isuzu has found its way into Vietnam since 1995 and was able to contruct a 70.000m2 headquarter in Go Vap, HCM city at that time. Isuzu Japan found itself allied with numerous partners such as the Japan Itochu Group, Samco Company and the Gia Dinh property investment company. It was those that joined hands to establish Isuzu Vietnam with a total initial capital of about 50 million VND.
During its first days right after its foundation, the company only had a total production output of less than 100 vehicles per year and only a few dozen employees. Up to now, the company now reaches a production capacity of 8.000 units/year and 60 employees.
So far in 2015, after 20 years of operation, the company has constantly improved itself in manufacturing, assembling and distributing commercial vehicles in Vietnam, as well as constantly developed and evolved its business strategy and dealer network across the country in order to increase Isuzu’s image closer to consumers.
Isuzu Vietnam is widely known thanks to its the very high quality of its truck (of diverse loads). In addition, its pickups (such as D-Max) and passenger cars are also considered high-quality as those are built under Japanese standards and technologies.
Isuzu is committed to long-term development in Vietnam, which has been demonstrated through the past. The company often organizes caravan journeys to remote areas for charity purposes, as well as interactive programs for its customers. Lately, its “public sharing” program has handed more than 3.000 gifts to families with difficulties in remote areas.
