Toyota to deploy the 10th “Toyota and I learn traffic” program

On March 5th, 2015, the Toyota VN fund (Toyota Motor Vietnam – TMV) in collaboration with the Department of Primary Education – Ministry of Education and Training has deployed the 10th “Toyota and I learn traffic” in school year 2014 – 2015 and the 4th Toyota Traffic Safety Drawing contest with the theme “Dream car”.

2015 is the 10th consecutive year that the Toyota VN fund organizes the “Toyota and I learn traffic” program (TSEP). With the goal of raising traffic awareness and knowledge of elementary pupils across the country, TSEP has employed new methods of teaching with exciting and useful teaching materials, thus making traffic safety lesson more interesting, catchy and easy to understand for students.

In its 9 years accompanying children across the country, TSEP has achieved remarkable success with over 7.5 million books about traffic safety handed to elementary pupils and 47.000 large size books, 65.000 VCD and 129.000 traffic manuals  given to elementary teachers.

Also within the framework of the “Toyota and I learn traffic” program, the 4th drawing contest “Dream car” for pupils under 15 will again be the program’s companion. The contest will be held nationwide from February 25th to March 25th. To create fresh air, this year’s contest will allow parents to join their children in the contest.

During 3 years of implementing the “Dream car” drawing contest, the organizers have received over 1.1 million participating pictures from children across the country. One thing worth mentioning is that in all 3 years, Vietnam was honored with a prize at the International Toyota Drawing Contest in Japan.

In particular, in 2014, Bui Thanh Mai – 1st grader of Le Hong Phong primary school (Tam Diep district, Ninh Binh province) has honored Vietnam by receiving the highest prize – the Golden Award for the age of under 8 group.

Speaking at the press conference, Mrs. Doan Thi Yen, Deputy Director of TMV shared “It can be said that in the last 9 years accompanying children across the country, TSEP has been highly appreciated and encouraged by the Ministry of Education and Training, Departments of Education and Training, school administrators, teachers and pupils. It has been a great encouragement and motivation for us to continue the implementation of this program”.
