Jaguar Land Rover Hanoi to be the brand’s largest showroom in ASEAN

The Jaguar test drive that took place on the 24th and 25th of January, 2015 in Long Bien, Hanoi is considered a move to promote the British luxury brand before putting the largest Jaguar Land Rover SEA showroom into operation.

Representative of New City Group – the importer and distributor of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in Vietnam stated that the new showroom in Hanoi will have a total area of around 4.200 m2 and is constructed under JLR’s 3S global standards.

The brand is currently hastening things up to meet the progress to open the new showroom, which is expected to be opened on late March, 2015. When officially opened, the showroom will be name Jaguar Land Rover Hanoi and can be located at 3, 3+5 Lot, Nguyen Van Linh, Gia Thuy, Long Bien, Hanoi.

To prepare for this important event, New City Group has organized a test drive for special customers in Hanoi to experience the brand’s 2 key products XF and XJ.

Jaguar XF belongs to the luxury midsize segment. Its length x width x height is 4.961 x 2.077 x 1.468mm respectively with a wheelbase of 2.909mm. XF’s 2.0L engine is codenamed Si4 and is capable of producing 179 kW (240HP) and 340Nm – the same engine as the Range Rover Evoque. However, Jaguar XF is only equipped with a 8-speed automatic transmission enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.9 seconds.

In addition to standard equipments, various gadgets can be installed on the car based on customers’ demand, such as windshield equipped with heating capability, timer and soundproof glass; electronic sunroof; Meridian audio system or sport interior. Jaguar XF’s main rivals in the Vietnam market will be Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5-Series and Audi A6.

Meanwhile, Jaguar XJ belongs to the large size luxury car segment with its length x width x height being 5.127 x 2.105 x 1.456mm respectively and a wheelbase of 3.023mm. XJ’s details, from the headlight to the taillight, all emit a luxury feeling that must be available on top Jaguar luxury models. XJ’s standard version has the same features as XF’s.

Customers preferring luxury and sport can opt for the XJL version. It is a SuperSport equipped with a V-8 5.0L supercharged capable of producing 380kW (510HP) and 625Nm. Its 9-speed automatic transmission can reach 100km/h from 0 in only 4.9 seconds. XJL’s rivals will be Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 or BMW 7-Series…

In the near future, the Jaguar Land Rover Hanoi showroom will display all Jaguar models including Jaguar XF, XK, XJ and F-Type.
