GM Vietnam to introduce the new Chevrolet Cruze

On the morning of August 19th in Hanoi, GM Vietnam has officially introduced its new C-Segment sedan Chevrolet Cruze to the Vietnam market. The brand offers 2 Cruze versions in Vietnam: Cruze LT (with manual transmission – 578 million VND) and Cruze LTZ (with automatic transmission – 679 million VND). GM Vietnam has begun taking in orders for the new Cruze and customers will be able to receive their cars in September.

Cruze is GM Motors’ best selling sedan in the US market. By 2015 June, over 3,5 million Chevrolet Cruze have been sold worldwide. However, it is a totally different story here in Vietnam. Cruze lies in the “unpopular” segment here, and GM Vietnam expects to change it with the new version. The new Cruze features revolutionary changes in design and equipment that may put Cruze in a more favorable positions compared to strong rivals in the sedan C-Segment, such as Mazda3, Corolla Altis or Ford Focus or even the rising stars from South Korea such as Kia K3 or Hyundai Elantra…

Cruze’s styling sees some innovations as the used-to-be bold and edgy body lines is now smoother and rounder. The highlight of the front fascia comes from the large 2-story grille with Chevrolet logo in the middle. The GM popular sedan may even surprise customers furthermore with its MyLink infotainment system, electronically-adjustable sunroof, adaptive wipers, 4 airbags or electronic trunk open button… The model’s features are definitely no less compared to its rivals but taking the market share from them requires a lot more than that.

The rear end features typical American design even without looking at the logo. The rear fascia removes the old, fussy lines and instead apply only one high-quality chrome-plated bar for premium feeling. Another change in exterior design is the new system of large-size alloy wheels. In overall, the new Cruze features a new and beautiful design that is acceptable in both 2 aspects fashion/luxury and sport.

Meanwhile, the new Cruze’s interior features 2-tone leather seats and sunroof (only on LTZ version, LT version uses felt seats). Its cabin volume is comparable and a little more spacious compared to others in the same segment. Its rear seats can be folded in 60:40 ratio to increase its cargo space…

With the Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) system on the LTZ version, driver can start the car through the Start/Stop button without having to insert the key. The Cruise Control is easily adjustable with the SET button integrated on the steering wheel as it helps to lock the car in an unchanged desired speed without having to use the throttle even when moving uphill or downhill…
