Bridgestone to open a plant in Vietnam soon

On October 24^th, Bridgestone will officially put its 50^th plant worldwide and the 1^st in Vietnam into operation.

With its 1^st plant built in Vietnam, Bridgestone will likely offer 2.000 new jobs to the localities. Together with the France’s Michelin, Bridgestone is now one of the 2 largest tire manufacturers in the world.

The license to construct the plant has been granted by Hai Phong’s People Committee on February 2^nd, 2012 and after 2 years the construction of the plant has completed.

The Bridgestone Vietnam plant is built on an area of over 102 hectares, located in Dinh Vu industrial zone, Hai Phong. According to Bridgestone Vietnam representative, the plant is expected to begin operating later in 2014 with a capacity of 24.700 tires/day with all products exported after.
