MINI kỷ niệm chiếc xe thứ 3 triệu được sản xuất

Ngày hôm nay, tập đoàn BMW và MINI đã làm lễ kỷ niệm chiếc xe thứ 3 triệu được sản xuất tại Oxford.

Chính thức sở hữu riêng thương hiệu MINI từ năm 2000, BMW quyết định đầu tư mạnh mẽ vào thương hiệu này dù họ biết chặng đường phía trước sẽ rất chông gai sau nhiều năm thua lỗ. Bắt đầu từ năm 2001, MINI đã trỗi dậy mạnh mẽ và trở thành biểu tượng của chiếc Cooper mui cứng.

Sau 13 năm phát tập trung phát triển, BMW vui mừng thông báo có tới 3 triệu chiếc MINI lăn bánh ra khỏi dây chuyền sản xuất tại Anh. Những chiếc xe này đã có mặt tại hơn 110 nước trên thế giới. Chiếc xe thứ 3 triệu là một chiếc MINI Cooper S Hardtop 5 cửa thể thao.

Đại diện BMW, ông Peter Schwarzenbauer chia sẻ: “Hôm nay, chúng tôi đánh dấu hai cột mốc quan trọng của MINI. Ba triệu chiếc MINI được sản xuất và hai triệu chiếc sản xuất tại nhà máy Oxford đã đến tay khách hàng trên toàn thế giới. Đây là một con số ấn tượng đáng để chúng tôi ăn mừng”.

Trong những năm qua, BMW đã đầu tư 2,8 tỉ USD vào các nhà máy sản xuất tại Anh quốc. Nước Anh cũng là thị trường lớn thứ hai của thương hiệu MINI và thứ tư của BMW.
