[VMS 2016] Mazda CX-3: New debut, new start

Mazda Vietnam launched the all-new CX-3 at VMS 2016.

The urban compact crossover segment is getting increasingly popular, especially in a country where road conditions are not as good in Vietnam. Currently in the country there were few cars in this segment that have yet created the impression with the exception maybe being Ford EcoSport.

Quickly understand this situation,  THACO brought its model Mazda CX-3 to the segment to meet customers’ demand in Vietnam. The car features a sleek design thanks to being the inheritance of the the new KODO design language of the company, while also delivering a SKYACTIV engine’s fuel economy.

The exterior design of the car is quite stiff. It can be said Mazda CX-3 is a car with strong design and most virile of Mazda cars, even when compared to the CX-9 senior sized vehicles. The CX-3 version brought to Vietnam this time is equipped with modern LED light-alloy wheels with two-tone contrasts quite sporty.

The interior of the car CX-3 design similarities with the Mazda2 so close together on a structured development. Space inside the car just a little bit higher than the Mazda2 and Mazda3 than that baby. In return, the CX-3 model has been greater ground clearance to move on more difficult terrain.

Mazda CX-3 in Vietnam is equipped with SKYACTIV-G gasoline engine 4-cylinder with 2.0 liter capacity. Thus, the car has 156 hp power at 6000 rpm rpm and maximum torque of 204 Nm achieved at 2,800 rpm rev. That combined with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Currently, the CX-3 models are on display at the exhibition at the Cultural Palace of Vietnam-Soviet Friendship. In addition to CX-3, taken to the VMS 2016 was Thaco’s latest large SUV CX-9.
