The Vietnam International Motor Show (VIMS) 2016 was officially opened on 26th October 2016 at Saigon Exhibition and Conference Center (SECC). On its first participation, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV) made strong impression when showcasing up to 11 new cars, including 5 two-door sport cars, the all new E-Class and the facelifted CLA. 

At VIMS 2016, MBV is the brand which owns the most diversified line-up with 27 different models. In which, 11 models are displayed inside, 6 SUVs and 2 MPVs outside and 8 models at ‘Certified Pre-owned’ area. Not only does MBV take the lead in terms of quantity but its product range also varies from Sedan, SUV, MPV to Coupé, Roadster, or Cabriolet. MBV, besides, has the largest booth at VIMS 2016 with the area of 776 square meters, situated at East Door (Lobby A2) next to the main gate, which is convenient for visitors to approach.

The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 is not only a compact roadster but also a pure sporty machine. With the AMG  engine management and increased charge-air pressure, the 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine offers impressive performance with its 367 hp and peak torque of 520 Newton-metres: sprinting from rest to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.

The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 also leaves strong impression on enthusiasts with AMG sporty bodykit, ‘Diamond grille’ with chrome pins/louvre and the 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheel in 2 modern contrast colors. The ILS full-LED headlamps in the sexy shape is the key to tells the SLC and its predecessor apart. The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 is priced at 3.619 bil VND (VAT included).

The SL is the legendary model of Mercedes-Benz with hallmarks in the history, especially the “gullwing” 300 SL in the 1950s. In its 6th generation, the SL featured many breakthroughs in terms of design, from the “Sensual Purity” exterior to the lightweight aluminum chassis.

On the facelift, the full-LED headlamps are redesigned to create a sophisticated look which connects smoothly the wings and the‘Diamond grille’. The 9G-TRONIC and the hydraulic suspension Active Body Control (ABC) on the SL deliver an absolute pleasure and comfort ride quality.

Its panoramic vario-roof integrated with MAGIC SKY CONTROL glass with variable transparency can be opened at the speed of 40 km/h.

The SL 400 is equipped with the 3.0L bi-turbo V6 engine producingup to 367 hp and 500 Nm pushing the car to 100 km/h within 4.9 seconds effortlessly. The SL 400 is priced at 6.709 bil VND (VAT included).

The S 500 Cabriolet embodies the “Sensual Purity” design language through its stunning rear-wheel-drive proportion with the hallmark dropping line, low greenhouse, high beltline and muscular accentuated wheel arches. Its elegant fabric soft-top inbeige color is a strong reason for enthusiasts to go for the cabriolet. Its striking signature is the 94 Swarovski crystals integrated on the front ILS full-LED. Each headlamp is a masterpiece with 17 angular crystals forming the flare-shaped daytime running lamps and 30 round-shaped crystals making up the turn indicator lamps. The 95th is attached nicely on the center console inside.

The Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 is now the world’s most powerful 4-cylinder compact car. 381 hp & 475 Nm from 2.250 rpm – a phenomenal output from the 2.0L turbocharged engine boosting the hot-coupé reaching 100 lm/h in only 4.2 second.
