Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) officially announces the sales volume of TMV in the first 3 quarters of 2016 and in Sep 2016.

By the end of Q3 of 2016, sales volume of Toyota vehicles reached 39.034 units,increased 8% (excluded Lexus) compared to the same period last year. In which, Toyota sales in passenger cars segment reached 19.784 units, Toyota sales in commercial vehicle segment reached 19.250 units.

In passenger car segment, taking leading position in sales is Vios with 10.833 units, increased 8% compared to same period of 2015, accounted for 55% in total sales of the segment. The following model is Corolla Altis with sales reached 3.653 units, accounted for 18% in total segment.The following is Camry with sales reached 3.536 units, increased 7% compared to same period last year and accounted for 18% in total sales of the segment.

In commercial car segment, sales of Innova reached 7.602 units, Fortuner reached 8.514 units, increased 7% and 21% compared to same period of 2015. In the last 9 months, thanks to the warm welcome from customers, Innova and Fortuner have been in leading position in the segment, accounted for 39% and 44% in total sales of the segment.

For CBU models distributed by TMV, after the first 9 months, total sales volume reached 4.896 units, increase nearly 21% compared to the same period of 2015. Especially, after 1 year since the launching (Oct 2015), there have been 1.707 Hilux units delivered to customerswho have passion in powerful driving in off-road journey.

In Sep 2016, total sales volume of Toyota reached 5.103 units (excluding Lexus), increased 9% (equal to 433 units) compared to same period of last year. In which, the North market consumed 2.314 units (45%), the South consumed 2.195 units (43%) and the Centre consumed 594 units (12%). Sales volume of passenger cars segment reached 2.964 units, increase 4% compared to same period of last year. Especially, in which, Vios is in leading position when achieved sales reached 1.612 units, increased 12% compared to last year. Following is Corolla Altis with 742 units, increased 53% compared to September of 2015. Following is Camry with 483 units delivered to customers.

For commercial vehicles segment, sales volume reached 2.139 units, increase over 18% compared to same period last year. In which, Fortuner achieved highest sales volume in the first 9 months of 2016 with 1.216 units, increased 46% compared to same period of 2015. Also in Sep 2016, due to limited supply, there were total 680 units of new Innova 2016 delivered to customers (in total 1.084 contracts).

For CBU vehicles imported and distributed by TMV, Yaris’s sales volume reached 127 units, Hilux 113 units, Hiace 29 units, Land Cruiser 19 units and Land Prado 82 units.

After 3 quarters of 2016, sales volume of Lexus in Vietnam reached 1.340 units, increase 73% compared to same month last year. In Sep, in spite of the changes in tax policy for luxury car models with big cylinder capacity taking effects from 1^st July, sales volume of Lexus reached 90 units, increased 61% compared to same period of 2015 and increased 64% compared to Aug 2016.
