First look: Chevrolet Captiva

The latest version of Captiva was just brought by GM Vietnam to the Chevrolet Newway showroom located at 183 Yen Lang, Dong Da, Hanoi. Reporters of Autonet Online were among the first to experience the SUV to review it for our readers.

Chevrolet Captiva Revv was released by GM Vietnam in mid March, 2016 with many new additional equipments. Compared to many other competitors in the 7-seater SUV segment, its price is at a quite affordable level. The first Captiva Revv is now available at Chevrolet Newway showroom, 183 Yen Lang, Dong Da, Hanoi.

Strong, athletic front fascia

Compared to the previous generation, the new Captiva Revv features strong and more modern design despite the same overall design. The front fascia looks striking thanks to the edgy and sporty headlights as well as LED DRLs. In addition, the foglights with chrome surrounding also makes a nice touch. The grille receives some changes overall with the upper part shrunk a little to achieve a sportier appearance.

Meanwhile, the rear end features the same sesign direction with strong dual exhaust and modern LED taillight. Some nice additional touches such as the 19-inch 5-spoke wheels with contrast color.

Spacious interior with soft touch leather seats

In general Captiva is a spacious SUV with dimensions reached 4.673 x 1.868 x 1.576 mm (H x W x L), wheelbase is at 2.707 mm. With such dimensions, the interior is quite spacious and comfortable for both driver and rear seat passengers. Additionally, the 6-speaker audio system combined with the 7-inch touchscreen integrated with MyLink infotainment system will surely deliver enjoyable and quality experience to occupants.

Hidden below the bonnet of Captiva is the 2.4L ECOTEC 4-cylinder engine which can generate 165 hp at 5.600 rpm and 230 Nm at 4.600 rpm. Along with the standard 6-speed transmission, the Chevrolet SUV is deemed to bring smooth and exciting driving experience behind the wheel.

Generous storage capacity after folding the 3rd-row seats

A wide range of safety features is also available on the new Captiva such as ABS, ESP, EBD, Hill descent control, traction control, blind spot detection, collision warning, rear camera and 6 airbags.

Currently Chevrolet Captiva Revv is distributed in Vietnam in 4 different color variations: white, silver, red and black with after-tax price at 879 million VND.
