25.770 cars imported to Vietnam in the last 6 months

The Customs Department has just announced that, in the first 6 months of 2014, 25.770 CBU cars of all type have been imported to Vietnam.

According to statistics collected by the Customs Department, in the first half of 2014, 25.770 cars have been imported, among which under-9-seat vehicles accounted for 11.720 units (31.2% up) while that of trucks and other types of car being 10.650 units (55.9% up) and 3.000 units (300% up), all compared to that of 2013.

Also according to the statistics, June 2014 saw 5.620 cars imported, 19.9% up compared to May. The total value of imported cars reached 117 million USD, 10.1% up.

South Korea continued to be the main market to export cars to Vietnam with 7.740 units, 8% down, followed by Thailand with 4.960 units (50.5% up); China with 4.630 units (127% up) and Japan with 1.430 (66% up).
