Toyota Vietnam to announce impressive sales growth in Feb

In February 2017, Toyota Vietnam (TMV) achieved total sales volume reached 3,579 units, increased 51% compared to same period of 2016.

This is also the highest February sales ever of Toyota in Vietnam, marked a positive growth of sales result in the first month of lunar new year 2017. In which, the North consumed 1,380 units (39%), the Centre consumed 342 units (9%) and the South consumed 1,857 units (52%).

In details, sales volume of Passenger car segment and Commercial car segment in turn reached 1,616 and 1,963 units, increased 41% and 61% compared to same period of 2016.

In Feb 2017, Vios continued leading the segment with 1,033 unitssold, increased 61% compared to Feb 2016. This figure showed unceasing attraction of the compact mid sedan segment in Vietnam.

Other car models in Toyota passenger car segment (Corolla Altis and Camry) achieved total sales volume reached 411 units in Feb.

In commercial vehicle segment, in Feb 2017, although car demand in the market after lunar new year tended to decrease, Innova had 950 units sold, increased 70% compared to same period of 2016. This result stem from the all new Innova introduced in 2016.

With the sharp and sophisticated exterior, subtle, comfortable and spacious interior as a passenger car, as well as the strong and smooth performance, safety driving but still full of joy, Innova 2016 is a very ideal accompany in every journey with its owner.

Taking leading position in sales volume of the segment is Fortuner with 903 units sold, increased 86% compared to same period last year. This impressive sales volume is thanks to the all-new Fortuner 2017 – “Tough & Sophisticated” with new tough design, sophisticated strength and luxury feeling, which was launched in January 2017. With the all new improvements, Fortuner will continue conquering and maintaining the leading position in share of SUV segment.

In the second position, Yaris sold 172 units, increased 58%. Besides, Hilux reached 74 units, Hiace 16 units, Land Cruiser 14 units and Prado 6 units.

In spite of the changes in tax policy for luxury car models with big cylinder capacity taking effects from July 2016, thanks to the continuous effort in order to bring premium products and services, Lexus in Vietnam had sales volume reached 48 units in February 2017.
