Ford Vietnam delivers record sales in November

Ford Vietnam today announced its best-ever November sales record that jumped 9 percent compared to last year with 2,585 vehicles, helping boost the year-to-date sales 44 percent to 26,112 vehicles.

The EcoSport SUV, Ranger pickup and Transit commercial van drives strong sales in November across the Ford lineup – each dominating their respective segment for the month and year-to-date. As a result, Ford continues to be one of the fastest growing automotive brands in Vietnam this year.

“Customers in Vietnam are looking for vehicles that offer quality, durability and high performance. Our growth in the country is driven by our ability to deliver a strong portfolio of offerings to meet the diverse needs of our customers” said Pham Van Dung, Managing Director, Ford Vietnam.

The Ranger strengthened its segment-defining nameplate for design, comfort, and refinement that sales rose 11 percent in comparison to October to 1,256 vehicles. Ranger continues to set the benchmark for the pickup truck segment with year-to-date sales jumped 73 percent to 12,658 vehicles.

The continuing appeal of the EcoSport compact SUV, which is the best-selling segment in Vietnam, helped drive the best-ever November performance with its retail sales increase 38 percent year-over-year to 545 vehicles, witnessing a rise in year-to-date sales of 4,843 vehicles.

Continued consumer demand for commercial vans helped the Transit reaffirm its segment-leading position with sales of 6,411 vehicles, representing a 29 percent increase year to date.

After one year of launching the new Everest large size sport utility vehicle at Vietnam Auto Show 2015, Everest successfully delivered the best-ever performance with November retail sales of 136 vehicles, seeing a 1,033 percent compared to October 2016’s retail sales.

The Focus and Fiesta both contributed to the record monthly performance. Focus is equipped with Ford’s high-performance and fuel efficient 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, whose sales experienced an increase of 512 percent to 104 vehicles. The sporty Fiesta achieved November sales of 102 vehicles, boosting its year-over-year sales up 46%. Its year-to-date performance reached a number of 849 vehicles.
