Best-selling Chevrolet car to be available in Vietnam

General Motors Vietnam (GM Vietnam) today introduced the new Chevrolet Cruze. It has begun accepting pre-contracts, with deliveries starting on November 30.

The new Cruze has an upgraded exterior and interior with a more elegant and refined stance. It also has new safety feature while maintaining the performance and many of the other features that have made it a popular choice since its domestic market debut last year.

The new Cruze is priced at VND 589 million for LT trim and VND 699 million for LTZ trim  (including VAT).

The new Cruze stands out through its improved design. It comes with enhanced LED daytime running lights integrated with new projector headlamps. The addition of projection fog lamps creates a more sophisticated look while improving visibility and driving safety.

It maintains its predecessor’s Chevrolet-signature dual-port chrome grille, sculptured lines and balanced taillight design with a wide chrome bar on the upper rear bumper that creates a sophisticated look.

The stylish exterior is complemented by a luxurious interior. With premium black leather in both the LT and LTZ trims, the new Cruze creates an impression of elegance and refinement. The Cruze LTZ also comes with a power sunroof and redesigned dashboard.

Both variants offer not only generous space for rear passengers, but also 60:40 foldable seats that can be folded forward to increase carrying capacity for large items. A comfortable driving experience is ensured through the automatic climate-control system and six-speaker sound system. The trunk button and central door lock button ensure safety for valuables.

The new Cruze offers a rearview camera, which helps the driver to see stationary objects behind the vehicle when parking on the street. Four air bags, including two front and two new side air bags, in the Cruze LTZ enhance safety in the case of a high-impact collision.

Speed-sensitive auto door locks activate when the car starts moving and a high-strength steel cage provides strong protection for all occupants. The Cruze is also equipped with the anti-lock braking system (ABS), rear-park assist, an LED high-mounted stop lamp and an anti-theft alarm.

The Cruze LTZ comes equipped with MyLink, Chevrolet’s global infotainment system, along with a 7-inch diagonal touch screen display. It also has Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) technology to start the engine quickly with the convenient Start/Stop button, as well as cruise control.

Like its predecessor, the new Cruze comes with a choice of economical engines. The Cruze LT is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission and a 1.6L four-cylinder DOHC engine. Meanwhile the Cruze LTZ comes with a six-speed automatic transmission and a 1.8L DOHC ECOTEC engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT).
