Vietnam Offroad Cup 2016 succeeds despite of heavy rain

Although having to deal with less than favor weather in the first day of the event, the Vietnam Offroad Cup 2016 (VOC 2016) was still going well thanks to the enthusiastic spirit of participants.

The first day of VOC (24/9) at Dong Mo – the Vietnam National Villages For Ethnic Culture And Tourism was still a success despite heavy rain. Many teams taking part in the competition have decided to mod their vehicles to gain the best offroad capibilities as possible.

SUV and pickups from 66 teams come from all types and brands of cars, including Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi Triton, Chevrolet Colorado, Suzuki Vitara, Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan Patrol or even some luxurious models such as Mercedes-Benz G-Class or Land Rover Defender.

Harsh weather with heavy rain and sunny at times provided anything but ease to participants, yet some enjoyed the muddy and much more challenging environment as well. Although many had been forced to give up halfway but still it was a nice competition from all side.

VOC 2016 features many sponsors such as AHCOM for Subaru, PV Oil, West Lake tire or Singapore’s Tigi.
