Motul to accompany World SBK this year

Motul, one of the most prestigious lubricant brands in the world, has accompanied this season’s World SBK at famous race courts around the world.

Speaking of SBK (superbike world champion ship), fans and enthusiasts of bike racing surely know this prestigious event as it is a world-class professional racing tournament for commercial superbikes that are available on the market. This year’s SBK is no different as it comprises of nearly all trending superbike brands nowadays.

It was a very rare chance to see all those famous superbikes at one place

Several of such brands can be named easily such as Ducati, BMW, Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki. It was the appearance of those that made the atmosphere at Sepang racetrack (Malaysia) much more heated and exciting for viewers and fans. The superbikes in their dreams were right before their eyes, those powerful machines were racing with each other at full speed.

Ducati Panigale R, Kawasaki ZX-10R, Yamaha YZF R1, BMW S1000 RR, Aprilla RSV4 RF and many more took part in the race. Those hundred-of-horsepower engines were put again each other at Sepang and created an uncompromising competition. The thrill of the race could be felt by every viewers who were cheering for the riders at the time.

The race was very intense despite of the rain

Motul is the official sponsor for this season of World SBK (which is demonstrated throught the name Motul SBK). As a result, Motul’s logo flooded the racetrack and Malaysia and could be seen nearly everywhere. Most motorbike and superbike users nowadays are familiar with Motul and especially its 300V products.

The superbikes were taken care of very carefully prior to the race

It was not a simple task to become the name sponsor for such a large event, and we could easily understand Motul’s efforts in this.

Lubricant is an essential part of any engine engine that helps in providing strong, stable and durable operation in any conditions. The importance of lubricant is much much higher for vehicles used in racing as the engine of such vehicle often operates at the highest level throughout the whole race.

We had an “one of a kind” opportunity to see the superbikes that took part in the race in their inspection process before the race. The concentration and caring of technicians at that time illustrated the importance of the vehicles as well as the tournament.

The winners of the Sepang race were: Honda (CBR 1000 RR SP – first place), Ducati (Panigale R – second place) and Kawasaki (ZX-10R – third place).
