Vietnam Offroad Cup – VOC 2015 to take place from 3rd to 5th of July

The Vietnam Offroad Cup 2015 will take place on July 3^rd to 5^th at the Cultural Tourism Village of Vietnam ethnic group (Dong Mo, Hanoi). VOC is one of the largest-scale annual offroad cup in Vietnam and has been a familiar destination for offroad enthusiasts.

According to the organizers, VOC 2015 is divided into 3 categories: team pickup, basic and advanced. The event’s scale is larger than previous cups while the tests are more practical to enhance participants’ driving skills. Its regulations are also less strict to enable more people to participate.

All contestants are required to wear helmet. Vehicles used for competition must be equipped with seatbelts, 2kg fire extinguisher and towing hook.

The team pickup category only allows original, unmodified vehicles to take part in (decorative details are still allowed) and is considered the most simple test that is suitable for amateur contestants.

The basic category is for professional offroaders and vehicles compete in this category can be modded/upgraded (tire, suspension, damper…) but no winches are allowed.

The advanced category is also for professional offroaders and winches are allowed.

However, all vehicles’ wheelbase and tire of tractor must be from the original version.

7 years after the “Golden Steering” was held in Xuan Mai (the original name of the cup), VOC has evolved from a movement-for-entertainment of the Otofun forum to a true competition that attracted the interest of offroaders across the country. It deserves to be the playground for offroaders to exchange knowledge relating to offroading.
