Hanoi immersed in red flags in the Blood Donating Day

On the morning of July 26^th, the parade of the Red Journey 2014 has marched from the Hanoi Opera House to the My Dinh National Stadium, as a movement to promote the Red Journey, a blood donating day.

From 6a.m, 120 participants of the parade have been present at the Hanoi Opera House. They were able to join in citizens’ dances, thus attracting the attention of many people.

On 6.30a.m, the parade marched from the Hanoi Opera House to Kim Ma Street, then Nguyen Chi Thanh, Khuat Duy Tien Street and finally reached the My Dinh National Stadium. The parade received enthusiastic support from 35 cars from the Triton Vietnam club and over 20 motorcycles from the Hanoi Motorcycle club.

According to Mr Bui Xuan Loi – Chairman of the Triton Vietnam club “I myself have donated blood 12 times so I fully understand and support the activity. This year, when heard about the Red Journey, I took the initiative to contact the organizers to welcome the parade on the 24^th and join them on the 26^th”.

The Red Journey – a journey through Vietnam to promote blood donating campaigns is organized by the Central Hematology Institution in collaboration with Let’s Viet and the Vietnam Charity Arm JSC, with the direction of the Ministry of Health and the National Steering Committee. The Journey took place from July 2^nd to July 28^th, 2014. With the message “Connecting Vietnamese bloodline”, the 120-volunteer parade was divided into 2 teams, the North and the South, and they have traveled through 25 cities/provinces around the country.

Over 20 motorcycles from the Hanoi Motorcycle club took part in the parade.

Promoting humanitarian ideas, the 2^nd Red Journey in 2014 received the concern and contribution from sponsors, partners and over 100 singers/artists/celebrities.
